Randy Thompson, K5ZD, has published the CQ WW CW raw score rankings. So far things look pretty good for my 15 meter single band assisted QRP effort. At this point I’m ranked 4th in the World, 2nd in North America, and 1st in the USA.

While these are the raw scores, and my score will be reduced somewhat due to busted calls, etc., I’m reasonably confident the North America and USA rankings will stand up. With the World ranking I could drop back a bit due to some very close competitors.

I get more motivated in this type of category, where I can really compete for a high ranking. Being an also ran in the middle of the pack isn’t at all motivating. Particularly when it’s unlikely that I will pick up new countries in CW.

Hope you had a great contest — and had some fun!
