Just received my certificate, below, for winning the 2010 North Texas QRP CW section. Like I stated in a previous blog entry, you can win these things if you find the narrow category. Still, I finished 46th in the W/VE QRP category.
It’s been an interesting progression for me in this contest. In 2009 I scored just over 1,000 points. In 2010 I was able to score 30,444. In this year’s contest, 2011, I was able to post just over 80,000 points. My technique is getting better and the Moxon beam on 15 meters, along with the improving solar conditions, have a big difference. We’ll see what happens next year!
